On 10 June 2026, Ch.Khosbayar, Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, received a delegation from the Seoul Bar Association.

The meeting was attended by S.Zayadelger, Chief of Secretariat of the Supreme Court of Mongolia; D.Tulga, Director of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Division of the Supreme Court; L.Danzannorov, President of the Mongolian Bar Association; and a delegation of more than ten officials led by Jo Soon Youl, President of the Seoul Bar Association.

During the meeting, Ch. Khosbayar, Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, emphasized that the cooperation between the Mongolian Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association has made a meaningful contribution to protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms and to strengthening the rule of law and democratic governance.

He further noted that, since Mongolia's democratic transition, the country has undertaken comprehensive reforms of its judicial system. Throughout this process, Mongolia has introduced internationally recognized standards and principles while preserving and further developing the distinctive characteristics and traditions of its national legal system.

Mr. Jo Soon Youl, President of the Seoul Bar Association, stated:

"The Seoul Bar Association is committed to protecting the lawful rights and interests of Mongolian nationals residing in the Republic of Korea, with particular emphasis on improving access to legal aid and legal representation. Under the cooperation framework established with the Mongolian Bar Association, special attention has been given to issues concerning the protection of the rights of Mongolian citizens living and working in the Republic of Korea. We have also reached a mutual understanding on further expanding professional cooperation between the legal professions of our two countries by organizing regular training programmes and academic forums for the exchange of knowledge and experience on a phased basis."

During the meeting, the parties exchanged information and experience on the current global situation regarding drug-related crime, including offences involving narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. They also discussed criminal justice policies and preventive measures aimed at combating such crimes.
